Batho Pele e-Bulletin undergone Change

It is said that change is the only constant and is inevitable. I subscribe to this adage hence you will see that the Batho Pele e-Bulletin has undergone a great deal of change.

Not only has the look and outlook changed but we have sought to change our focus and make the publication more relevant to your needs. You will realise that the publication is now more internally focused and will continue to celebrate the ministry staff’s achievemnets, challenges and aspiratiions.

To this end, we have introduced On the Chair, which will serve as a platform to profile ministry personell. This will sort of open up their minds as they share about they do, what they bring to the table but most of remove the veil as we delve in to their inner being.

Another new addition is the Trading Places column that is meant to update you on the staff movements in and out of the ministry. It is given that time and again some of our colleagues will leave for greener pastures, some will be given new areas of responsibility whilst some will finally call it a day. Similarly, we would at times receive new members into our family. So keep glued to this column to stay informed.

The other element that this edition brings is that of giving voice to our staff throuth the Batho Pele Voices column. This provides a platform for staff memebers to share their thoughts and opinions.

It is our hope that this change satisfy you. And we will be very much obliged this year to get feedback from you so that we can gauge how well we are doing and what improvements we can do.

On a diferent note, I am a bit tired of being used as a reference manual for people’s names and their position in the ministry. Hardly a week passes without somebody asking me to point out so and so for him or her, especially regarding the senior management. Hence you see the above picture, labelled, of the ministry’s top brass. Take a good look and them and give me a break.

So there you go, enjoy the read.
