ADJUSTMENT OF INTERNSHIP ALLOWANCES

10 May, 2013 – GABORONE: The Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs informs the general public that intern allowances have been reviewed with effect from the 1^st April 2013.

All interns who have been on the programme before April 2013 will continue to earn an allowance of P1 800.00 while P200.00 will be saved and paid upon completion of service.

All those who have since joined the programme on the 1^st of April 2013 will earn P1 420.00. An amount of P1 320.00 will be paid directly into their accounts and P100.00 will be saved for interns and will be paid upon completion of service. Interns are trainees in transition from higher education to the world of work.
