FUNDING GUIDELINES

WOMEN’S ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

The Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs hereby informs the public that funding guidelines for the Women’s Economic Empowerment Programme have been reviewed. This is in line with the Economic Stimulus Package that was publicized by His Excellency the President Of Botswana Lieutenant General Seretse Khama Ian Khama.

The reviewed guidelines have also taken into consideration the public concerns to consider funding groups below 5 members.

The guidelines therefore provide as follows:

1. Funding is extended to cover 1 woman to a group of more than 10 for community projects and cooperatives.

 2. Funding has been expanded to include young female graduates.

3. Funded packages have also been expanded to include construction, tourism and services.

Financial ceilings for funding are:

 a) An individual beneficiary will be funded up to One Hundred Thousand Pula (P100 000.00).

 b) A group of two members will be funded up to Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Pula (P250 000.00).

 c) A group of three or more members will be funded up to Three Hundred Thousand Pula (P300 000.00).

 d) A community project with a minimum of 10 members will be funded up to Five Hundred Thousand Pula (P500 000.00).

e) Special consideration will be made for People With Disability.

Requirements for applications are provided in the guidelines which may be obtained at the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs Offices throughout the country effective from 1st November, 2015. They may also be accessed on www.mlha.gov. Click here for the guidelines.

2. Dialogane tsa banana ba basetsana le bone jaanong ba akareditswe mo lenaneong le.

3. Mohuta wa dikgwebo o o ka akolang lenaeo le, le one o phutholotswe go akaretsa tsa kago, bojanala le ditirelo (services).

Dithulaganyo tsa madi ke tse di latelang:

 a) Mme fa a le mongwe o ka fiwa selekanyo se se  safeteng P100 000.00.

 b) Setlhopha sa bomme ba le babedi se ka fiwa selekanyo se se sa feteng P250 000.00. c) Setlhopha sa bomme ba le bararo le go feta, se ka fiwa selekanyo se se sa feteng P300 000.00.

d) Setlhopha sa morafe sa bomme ba ba seng kwa tlase ga lesome, se ka fiwa selekanyo se se sa feteng P500 000.00.

e) Ba-na-le-bogole ba tla a sekasekwa mo go faphegileng.
