DIVISION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT DESIGN
The responsibility of this Division is to ensure compliance with:
a) Structural requirements of the Act (i.e. how working environments should be designed) – e.g.:- welfare facilities (drinking water, washing points, accommodation for clothing, first aid etc.), sanitary accommodation (adequacy and privacy thereof), workflow design, access routes, fire protection, ventilation, lighting, drainage of floors, overcrowding, and thermal comfort); and
b) Guarding of dangerous parts of machinery.
