The Minister of Labour and Home Affairs Honourable Edwin Jenamiso Batshu together with the Ministry staff embarked on a community service activity on Friday 23rd
May 2014 in Childline.
The activities that were undertaken are repainting of the Childline structure, weeding the garden and leveling the children’s playing area. The Ministry started assisting Childline in June 2013 by making repairs to childline structures and donating toiletries and groceries.
When addressing Childline staff during the activity, the Minister said his ministry is humbled and honored to assist the vulnerable children that are housed at Childline.
He said children are a precious gift from God and they are also tomorrow’s leaders of the country, therefore it is important for communities to offer a helping hand where it is needed.
The Childline project coordinator Mr Machete thanked the Ministry for the continuous support they give to the organization.
