BOTSWANA CUT TIES WITH NORTH KOREA
The Government of the Republic of Botswana wishes to announce that it has decided to terminate, with immediate effect, diplomatic and consular relations with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea).

Please be informed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation together with the European Union will convene the Botswana – European Union Article 8 Political Dialogue Meeting on the 26th November 2013. This year’s meeting is scheduled to be held at Sanitas Conference Room and will be co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Honourable Phandu T.C Skelemani and the European Union Head of Delegation to Botswana, Ambassador Gerard McGovern.

His Excellency Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma, President of the Republic of South Africa, invited His Excellency Lieutenant General Seretse Khama Ian Khama, President of the Republic of Botswana to the Inaugural Session of the South Africa – Botswana Bi-National Commission held on 21 November 2013. The Bi-National Commission was preceded by the Senior Officials and Ministerial Meetings held on 18 -19 and 20 November 2013, respectively
