General description:

To coordinate formulation of policies, guidelines and strategies for the preservation of assets and property confiscated under the Proceeds and Instruments of Crime Act, 2014.

Job description:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  1. Oversee functions of the office in   implementation of the Proceeds and Instruments of Crime Act, 2014.
  2. Initiate formulation of policy, regulations and guidelines to guide implementation of the Proceeds and Instruments of Crime Act, 2014. 
  3. Coordinate the review of policies and strategies in line with Proceeds and Instruments of Crime Act, 2014.
  4. 4. Coordinate stakeholder participation in the implementation of the Proceeds and Instruments of Crime Act, 2014.
  5. Formulate code of conduct and ethics to achieve high level of integrity, confidentiality and behaviour by officers in the Office of the Receiver.
  6. Oversee the receiving, custodianship and disposal of property confiscated by Government in terms of the Proceeds and Instruments of Crime Act, 2014.
  7. Ensure maintenance and preservation of confiscated property as well as insurance of the property.
  8. Ensure winding up of affected businesses including termination of employment of affected employees.
  9. Oversee sureties and investment on the restrained and confiscated property.
  10. Oversee sureties and investment on the restrained and confiscated property.
  11. Manage Confiscated Assets Trust Fund as per the provisions of the Act.
  12. Coordinate development, recurrent and manpower budgets for the Office of the Receiver. 
  13. Manage and reviews performance of staff in the Office of the Receiver to ensure that performance targets are met.
  14. Coordinate procurement of assets, goods and services in the organisation.

 

Job requirements:

QUALIFICATION PROFILE

To be considered for appointment to this position, candidates must have at least a Degree in Actuarial Science, Asset Management, Bachelor of Law, Bachelor of Property Management, B-Com Business Management or related qualification plus sixteen (16) years relevant post qualification experience.

In addition, applicants must have served at least two years at executive level (F2 salary scale) in Government or equivalent in the Private Sector.
