MINISTRY REWARDS AND RECOGNISES TOP PERFOMERS

The Minister of Defence, Justice and Security Honourable Dikgakgamatso Ndelu Seretse says his Ministry continues to make significant progress with regards to performance, adding that they have climbed the ladder from being one of the low performing Ministries to one of the highest performing Ministries within a short period of time.

While giving his remarks during the Ministry’s Rewards and Recognitions ceremony on 3rd July 2014, the Minister said they continue to build strong and strategic partnerships within government nationally, regionally and internationally. He added that all this is geared towards the attainment of excellent service delivery to their customers.

He said it was remarkable that his Ministry’s headquarters, despite its acute manpower and structural limitations, has reached commendable performance levels in the execution of the MDJS core mandate.

Minister said they have made significant strides in the provision of access to justice and ensuring the safety and security of every individual.

He called on those who did not receive any awards to work harder and not to lose hope or sight of the goals and the objectives the Ministry strives to achieve.

While giving her remarks, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Ms Segakweng Tsiane said that awards are solely on service rendered to customers and are also based on work/life balance. She said through awards and recognitions they share with their families the results of their long hours from home. About 13 officers were rewarded for performance plus extra two who are the Minister’s  and the Permanent Secretary’s choice.4 officers went away with the 13th cheque while in other categories employees won trophies , certificates and vouchers.
