RESPONSE TO A QUESTIONNAIRE ON ACQUISITION OF OFFICE SPACE BY THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE JUSTICE AND SECURITY
1. The Ministry of Defence, Justice and Security moved into Square building in 2009/10. The Ministry has now outgrown its present office space and cost efficiency of the occupied space.
2.The Ministry holds a policy position that it ought to be housed together with its Departments as it may be determined and which it cannot disclose, the idea being to have a centralized, one stop service and coordinated administration.
3. In pursuit of this, the process of procuring sufficient office space to realize the foregoing objective is ongoing.
4. Like all procurement, the Ministry is not in a position to share any details about such procurement including which buildings it has explored as well as related processes and stages at which it is, as the matter is still internal, and any prior disclosure before the finalization of the procurement will be prejudicial.
5. For the future, dear colleagues, I advise that you look at page 17of the Botswana Daily News which always contains decisions of the PPADB. Specific to your enquiry the Botswana daily news of 17th January 2013.
Thank you
