Visits to prisoners
Convicted Prisoners
- Once a month (Short term prisoners) - Three weeks (Long term prisoners) - 20 minutes duration - Maximum of three people per visit
Unconvinced Prisoners - May be visited daily
- 20 minutes duration
- Maximum of three people per visit
Please note:- Visitors may be searched - All visitors are required to produce their national identity cards - Prison Officers shall inspect clothing, food items etc. brought for prisoners
Visit by Religious organizations
Religious organizations are encouraged to fellowship with prisoners. Arrangements could be made through Officers in Charge of respective stations.
Letters
Convicted prisoners are allowed to write and receive one letter in a month. All letters are subject to censoring.
