SERVICE DESCRIPTION

These are judgments applied for and granted upon failure by the defendant to enter appearance to defend.

HOW DO I OBTAIN THE SERVICE?

The service is obtained by filing an application with the court after the time given to the defendant to enter appearance to defend has passed, for subsequent consideration by the Registrar who has to satisfy himself that all the relevant rules have been observed.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR SERVICE?

The application must be in the prescribed form which must follow as closely as possible the forms prescribed under the first schedule of the Rules of the High Court. The form to be used (Form 30-34) will be informed by the nature of the claim.

COSTS INVOLVED IN OBTAINING SERVICE

You require P120 which will be split as P60 for final judgment and P60 for a warrant of execution.
