• Control and regulate private developments
• Receiving and recording of new applications.
• Issuance of application forms for planning and building permission.
• Perusal new applications and re-submissions.
• Forwarding applications to other departments involved in application perusal.
• Attend monthly Physical planning and SHHA committees for approval of applications.
• Issuance of Building Permits for approved applications.
• Conduct daily inspections on on-going, existing and resuming developments.
• Issuance of Occupation Permits to completed developments
• General advice on construction issues.

HOW DO I OBTAIN THE SERVICES?

• Submission of applications at Building Control office
• Booking of inspections at the office

HOW DO I APPLY?

• Get application forms for planning and building permission from Building Control office.
• Get registered in the inspection booking register.

COST INVOLVED

• The costs involved are only for new submissions and they vary according area of proposed developments. (Range from 8.00 – 64.00)

WHERE DO I GET THE INFORMATION?

Information is mainly obtained from Works Department. Sometimes it is obtained from Physical planning Department.
