Mandate
The Environmental Health Division ensures protection of the environment and human health through provision of all environmental health services to the community of South East District
Objectives
- To create, maintain and sustain a clean environment free from waste for the promotion of public and environmental health throughout the year.
- To ensure that waste is properly disposed of in a sanitary way
- To Control vectors borne and pests of public health importance
- To enforce statutes - Public Health Act, Control of Smoking Act, Building Control Regulations, Trade and Liquor Act , Food Control Act, Waste Management Act and related laws and regulations.
- To carry out inspections of all Commercial, institutional and Industrial Establishment as and when need arises, on request for specific purposes and on routine basis
