Environmental Health also undertakes control of pests of public health concern for prevention of spread of communicable diseases and guard against property damage.  This is in accordance with Public Health Act Regulations on control of communicable diseases as quotes.

Infestation in households, commercial and institutional premises is controlled with the use of chemicals.  Reskol and organophosphate is sprayed in a dilution ration of 500ml: 10L.  The mode of kill of the chemical is residual and therefore kills the pest after a couple of days.  The service is available for both citizens and non-citizens

    How do I obtain the service?

 Clients present themselves either in person or telephonically to request for the service.  The office then conducts an assessment by way of measuring the area to be sprayed.  An invoice is then issued for payment after which spraying is conducted.  Service is expected to be rendered in two days of reporting as a service standard.

   Cost Involved

 The service is currently charged at P3.00/m2 for residential and P5.00/m2 for institutional.

These are other common pests and from all these same procedure is followed expect that different chemicals are used for each pest and the services here are currently free of charge.
