BUSINESS INSPECTORATE

Inspections are conducted in business premises to ensure compliance with Tract Act, Public Health Act, and Food Control Act and Waste Management Act.  Such and activity covers compliance with the set health requirements for food and water quality control, waste management, availability of sanitary facilities and health and safety for both workers in the premises and those who visit the premises.  Inspection can either be out of request by the client for purposes of renewing the license and request for a new license or routine inspection from the office.

 

Service standard is that inspection request must be attended within 2 days.

 Scrutiny of Building Plans

 Building plans for a nay new development or alteration to the existing structure are scrutinized for compliance with Building Control Act, Waste Management Act and Public Health.  The Service is available for both citizens and non citizens.  The files of the clients circulate with relevant officers for scrutiny and later meeting of discussion or comments made by different departments for either approved or disapproval.

 Public Conveniences

 The division has ten public toilets located in different areas of the town for sanitary disposal excreta.  Two public toilets have been sourced out to be operated by private companies/individuals user fee for rank toilets is P0.50 and P0.75 for new public toilets near transport office.

 How do I obtain the service?

 For inspections the client can require the service telephonically or in person indicating the location and plot number of the premises to be inspected.  The service standard is 24 hours.
