Gone are the days when one will carry large amount of money to pay for services rendered by council. Recently, North East District through Finance and Development Planning Department has introduced a Barclay’s point of sale Machine (swiping machine) on June for customer convenience.

 In an effort to continue fulfilling its mandate of providing quality social safety nets to the less fortunate members of our society, The Ministry of Local Government through its North East District Local Authority has awarded 10 beneficiaries houses and backyard gardens.

The need for the provision of quality people centered service delivery, is at the forefront of The People’s Ministry’s’ mandate and as such, Local Authorities across the republic are hosting People’s Days as a means of sensitizing the public about the various services offered by the respective Councils in Botswana.
