PUBLIC NOTICE RE - ADVERTISEMENT OF MOLEPOLOLE BUS RANK MARKET STALLS  The public is informed that the New Molepolole Bus Terminus shall soon be open for public use. It follows therefore that the market stalls are ready for rental to qualifying members of the public. Kweneng District Council requests for applications from individuals residing within Kweneng District for renting market stalls in the new Bus Terminus. The stalls are available for a three (3) year lease term.

The public is informed that the New Molepolole Bus Terminus shall soon be open for public use. It follows therefore that the market stalls are ready for rental to qualifying members of the public. Kweneng District Council requests for applications from individuals residing within Kweneng District for renting market stalls in the new Bus Terminus. The stalls are available for a three (3) year lease term.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

a)    Interested individuals should be aged between 18 years and above with a valid Identity Card (Omang)

b)    Persons should not be permanently employed (an affidavit should be provided)

c)     Residents of Kweneng District

NB: Only those with the listed documents above will be allowed to register for tossing (Yes/No/Reserve list)

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS  

(i) A certified copy of national identity card (Omang).

(ii) A letter from the village or ward Kgosi with official Tribal Administration Department stamp affirming that the individual is a resident of that particular village in Kweneng District.

(iii)All interested individuals are required to submit a letter clearly indicating the type of stall applied for and proposed line of business eg. Cooking market stalls, kiosks etc. (refer to above table). The letter must clearly indicate their physical and postal addresses as well as telephone numbers.

NB: Applicants are not allowed to apply for more than one type of stall

(iv) Applicants should pay a non-refundable fee of P20.00 (Twenty pula only) payable by cash only at Council Revenue Office, at Molepolole Customer Service Centre at Mafenyatlala Mall. Proof of such payment must accompany the submission.

(v)All applications must be hand delivered and applicants shall be registered upon submission of the letters at Molepolole Customer Service Centre at Mafenyatlala Mall from 7:30am to 12:30pm and from 1345 – 1630pm from 19th April 03rd May 2016. Please note, any application sent by email, facsimile or any un-prescribed manner shall not be considered as response to this invitation to tender.

(vi)The closing date for receipt of submissions is 03rd May 2016 at 1630 hrs.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

The selection process shall be carried out in two stages;

An open raffle selection of names according to preferred stall (refer to table above for numbers)

Tossing to be conducted at the Molepolole Kgotla at 08: 30am on 8th May 2016

Only those who are successful at the tossing shall be allocated the applicable market stalls and shall be required to pay two month’s rent in advance then sign a three (3) year lease contract with Kweneng District Council.

Note:

1)   Those who previously applied for the stalls need not respond to this advert as their applications are still valid.

2)  All traders at the current bus rank (old bus rank) are informed that Kweneng District Council during its sitting of 16 – 31st March 2016 rescinded its September 2015 decision to allocate them stalls without competition. All traders therefore shall have to apply in order for them to be considered for allocation like all members of the public.

3)  Kweneng District Council reserves the right to disallow proposals that do not enhance or promote the health, safety, wellbeing, good order of the bus terminus. These include but not limited to the selling of chemicals and large scale industrial activities, tyre fixing etc.
