DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE

Is a legal option in the children’s Act of 2009 to safe guard the welfare and protect the interest of a child in need of care. A child is in foster care if the he/she has been placed in the care of a person who is not the parent, other relative or guardian of the child by an order of the children’s court.

WHO ARE THE CLIENTS

Children under  18 years and who are in need of care.

 HOW DO I OBTAIN THE SERVICE

Parents who want to foster children should register with the S &CD office.

 HOW DO I APPLY THE SERVICE

Upon registering, an assessment will be carried out to determine if the parent qualifies to foster.
