DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE

Early Childhood refers to the formal teaching of young people outside the family or in settings outside the home. it deals with registration of Daycare centers and monitoring and supervision to ensure compliance with the Kgatleng District Council Day Care Centre Bye –laws (2005) and the Early Childhood and education policy of 2001.

WHO ARE THE CLIENTS

Nursery School, Daycare Centre or Pre- Primary Centre Owners or Potential Owners.

HOW DO I OBTAIN THE SERVICE

Through visiting the S & CD (Home Economics Section) offices in Mochudi and Mmathubudukwane.

HOW DO I APPLY THE SERVICE

Through submission of the following documents when applying for this license;

• Inspection Reports from Physical Planning, Environmental Health, Fire Department & Home Economics Section)
• Land use permit or zoning approval
• Copy of permission to teach
• Certificate of incorporation (where applicant is a company) or copy of business name.
• Certified copies of ID documents for all staff members
• Foreigners to produce residence and work permits
• Medical reports for all staff members
• Daily programme of the school & pamphlet
• List of teaching material
• Menu

 WHAT COSTS ARE INVOLVED IN OBTAINING THE SERVICE

• The service is free but a remission of P150.00 is required to acquire the licensee.

No, the service is not transferable.
