Collection medical / clinical waste from health facilities, institutions and households (home based care).

HOW TO OBTAIN THE SERVICE
Below are procedures to be followed
- (Home based care) Individuals inform Assistant Educator that there is someone who needs her/ his clinical waste to be collected in a nearby health facility. A red plastic and red bin will be provided to that household.
- (Institutions) the institutions needs to inform our office that they have clinical waste. The institution has to provide storage for that particular waste and be placed in red plastic bags. The office neither provides the red plastic bags nor the red bins.
- (Health facilities) they inform our office whenever there is clinical waste to be collected. Health facilities provide red bins and red plastics for clinical waste.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE SERVICE
- Through self referral to the Environmental Health Department and register for collection.
