SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Waste is collected from clinics, private institutions and for general public in homesteads with home based care patients.

HOW DO I OBTAIN THE SERVICE

The customer has to provide a washable rust free refuse bin or the red bin with lid cover and lined with a red or yellow plastic for storage of medical waste. If the waste is not much, a standard red or yellow medical waste bag should be provided. Sharps containers should also be provided.

 HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE SERVICE

Customers for home based care patients should liase with the nearest clinics to arrange for collection of waste from their homes. Institutions and private clinics should contact the nearest sanitation offices to register for collection.

COST INVOLVED IN OBTAINING THE SERVICE

Currently no service fees have been put in place.
