ORPHAN CARE

SERVICE DESCRIPTION

The Orphan Care program involves implementing a short term plan for action for the care of orphans. Psychosocial support is provided which encompasses the wholistic approach, being emotional, spiritual, physical, mentally and social support. The program assist orphaned children by providing for them with food, clothing, bedding, school uniform, school fees, and pocket money for school trips.

HOW DO I OBTAIN THE SERVICE?

• One has to be 18 years and below.
• Should have lost one or both parents.
• One can be identified by the Department of Social and Community Development or can come in person to the department’s office or be referred by other stakeholders

HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE SERVICE?

Visit the S & CD offices.
