SERVICE DESCRIPTION
Commercial Affairs division is mandated with processing of applications and issuing of Trade, Liquor, Industrial licences and Hawkers and Street vending licences using the following acts:
- Trade Act 2003
- Liquor Act 2003
- Industrial Development Act 2003
- Hawkers & Street Vending Bye Laws
HOW TO OBTAIN THE SERVICE?
The customer must visit the commercial office to enquire about the type of licence he wants to apply. The client will be advised accordingly on the requirements specific to the type of licence needed.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE SERVICE?
The customer must present themselves to the Commercial Office. According to the requirements given, the applicant will be given application forms the Zoning confirmation form, licence application form and Manager`s form and submit the following attached to the forms provided:
a) Certificate of incorporation form 13, 14, 8 and or registration certificate
b) The latest form of annual returns
c) Proof of availability of business premises (written undertaking lease in lieu of agreement
d) Certified copy of passport for non citizens and Identity card for citizens
e) P100 non refundable application fee
f) P50.00 non refundable application fee for Manufacturing licenses
g) Satisfactory Environmental health report
h) Proof of publication in case of liquor application
There are also hawkers and street vendors certificates which are only issued to citizens everyday provided the applicant submit the following requirements;
a) Certified copy of Omang
b) 2 passport size photos
c) Letter of authorization to use space from Physical Planner`s Office (Ghanzi Township)
