PUBLIC NOTICE GABORONE CITY COUNCIL FACING CHALLENGES IN WASTE COLLECTION Gaborone City Council wishes to inform the Public that the Council is experiencing challenges in collection of waste and adhering to the collection schedule.  With this, the Public is requested to keep their waste within their premises and not leave the waste along the road reserves. Council has put in place measures to curb this hiccup. The following wards will be collected today (14th April 2016): 1.    Block 3 BTV 2.    Extension 9 3.    Old Naledi 07 4.   Extension 16 SHHA 5.   Taung 6.   Block 5 Sedudu 2 7.  Block 9 Extension 23 Daily updates and changes will be communicated to the Public through spot announcements, GCC facebook page, e-GOV and portal. PUBLIC NOTICE INTRODUCTION OF WASTE COLLECTION FEE Gaborone City Council wishes to inform the Public that there will be an introduction of Waste Collection Fee of P10.00 per month per household in Gaborone effective 1st April 2016. This will translate into the payment of P120.00 per year.  This fee is a service fee for collection of waste from individual households. The fees will be included in the annual Rates payable once a year.  In order to strive to keep the city clean we need to service each and every household, we need to collect waste from each household as that is important for keeping Gaborone clean,  Council would not leave any household simply because they have not paid rather other routes would be used to get households to pay. The Public is therefore requested to cooperate with the Council in this matter. PUBLIC NOTICE The public is hereby notified that Gaborone City Council wishes to effect change of ownership of plot 9073 in Old Naledi, Gaborone from Pono Thagame to Morgan Motlalekgosi. By this notice the general public is informed that anyone who objects to such change of ownership should produce written evidence that justifies his/her claim to Plot 9073, Old Naledi to the Old Naledi Self Help Housing Agency (SHHA) Office in Gaborone within 30 days from the date of this notice. If there is no objection thereto after the lapse of 30 days, Gaborone City Council shall go ahead and effect change of ownership to Morgan Motlalekgosi.
