Provide loans and plots to low income and middle income lower group.

WHO QUALIFIES?

•          Be a citizen of Botswana with a valid ID (Omang)
•        Age 21 to 60 years
•           Earning  P 4 400 to P 36 400 per annum( if married spouse income taken in to consideration)
•         Formally employed or legitimately self employed in the town which the application is lodged
•         Spouse must not own any residential plot or house in any designated area where SHHA program is in operation.
•          Requires Surety guarantee( loan)
•         Pensioner
•         An individual who has sold a SHHA plot will not be allowed to register on the waiting list for a period of 5 years.
•         If any applicant marries a spouse who is a registered owner of a plot, whether or not it is developed, prior to council allocating him/her a plot, applicant must withdraw his/her name from the waiting list.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR THIS SERVICE?

a)      FOR A PLOT

Complete and Submit Verification of employment form (whichever is applicable)     together with the following documents to Selepa SHHA Office:-

•          Two passport size photos
•          Certified copy of ID (Omang)
•         ( if married submit ID for the spouse)
•         Current pay slip/s (original)

ALLOCATION OF PLOT

On allocation of plot, an allottee is to pay 10% deposit for plot purchase price

Prices differ according to plot size.

b) FOR SHHA LOAN (IMPROVEMENT OF A HOUSE)

To qualify one need to have the following

Maximum loan amount is P45, 000.00

•         Submit approved plan
•        Plot certificate
•          Quotation of building material and  labour
•         Loan to be payable in twenty (20) years with zero % interest

Top previous loan to P45, 000.00 maximum

•          Submit approved plan
•          Plot certificate
•         Quotation of building material and  labour

d)     TURN KEY LOAN ( P 60, 000.00 )

•        Own an undeveloped SHHA plot with plot certificate/ offer letter
•         Council build a house for the beneficiary
•       Turn key plan is standard
•          Loan is to be repaid with monthly installments of P 250.00 for twenty (20) years with zero % interest
