Inform farmers about animals impounded within Francistown area.

HOW DO I OBTAIN THE SERVICE

Call 2419325 or report in person to the offices at the Bus Rank or visit the Council. Hours of operation are from 0730 hours to 1630 hours from Monday to Friday. 

The following are required when claiming your animal;

• Valid brand certificate
• Valid Identity Card (Omang)

COST INVOLVED

(a)   Cattle, horses, pigs

1. Pound fees        P0.50 per head

2. Trespass fees     P0.20 per head

3. Sustenance fees P0.25 per head per day

4. Mileages            P1.50 per day for all animals whether one or more

(b)   Donkeys

1. Pound fees           P0.30 per head

2. Trespass fees       P0.20 per head           

3. Sustenance fees   P0.10 per head per day

4. Mileages             P1.50 per day for all animals whether one or more

(c)   Goats/Sheep

 1. Pound fees          P0.25 per head

2. Trespass fees       P0.10 per head

3. Sustenance fees   P0.10 per head per day

4. Mileages             P1.50 per day for all animals whether more

Admission of guilt

Admission of guilt is charged at P10.00 to P50.00 per animal depending on how many times the animals had been impounded.
