SERVICE DESCRIPTION
The Matimela department is responsible for the provision of collecting reported Matimela animals, notifying the public about the presence of Matimela animals which have been implemented, claiming of Matimela animals which have been implemented, management and care of Matimela, sale of Matimela animals which have exceeded six months in our custody and duty to destroy certain animals as under the Matimela act Chapter 36 : 06.
(B) HOW DO I OBTAIN THE SERVICE
(1) Any person who finds Matimela knowing them to be Matimela, shall report the presence of such animals to his nearest Matimela Office, Chief, Sub chief or headmen in the district within one month.
(2) Any chief, sub chief or headmen who receive a report in terms of Sub-section (1) shall persist on such report to the Matimela officer or assistant Matimela officer within 30 days of receiving such report.
(C) COST INVOLVED IN OBTAINING THE SERVICE
The service of reporting Matimela animals and its collection is free to the reporter.
(1) Fees to be paid by the owner en claiming the animal.
The fees on payment of which the owner of an animal placed in a Matimela kraal may claim such an animal shall be:

The fees prescribed in sub regulation (1) shall be payable irrespective of whether the Matimela were placed in the Matimela kraal by a person employed by a Council in terms of Section 5 of the Act.
