Sithole BMC coach

30 November, 2009
JWANENG - BMC has managed to get the signature of the former Gaborone United coach, MikeDubula Sithole.

Sithole was showed the door by GU, for what was only termed as unprofessional conduct.

The teams communication manager confirmed to BOPA that they have managed to seal the deal with Sithole, and he will be with the team for two seasons, adding they are in the process of finalizing his work permit.

Thember Stimela said BMC has no doubt that Sithole will take BMC somewhere as well as bringing stability to the team.

He said Sithole has a good track record in Botswana, given that he coached two big teams, Mochudi Centre Chiefs and GU.He was also coach of the year last season, so I am confident that we have not made a mistake by taking him Stimela further said his team has been playing very well but the only problem was that they failed to convert good golden opportunities.

He said BMC, with the guidance of Sithole and the quality players they have, are going to finish the league at a very respectable position people should not rule BMC out, we are back with a bang.

He said Sithole will boost players morale as well as build the team spirit as he understands BMC as a team, though he has never coached it.

Stimela said they will continue to give Sithole support, as they did with their former coaches, adding that only good relationship can bring good results to the team.

Quizzed as to whether they are not curious to know why Sithole parted ways with his former team, Stimela said they never wanted to dwell much on that because when GU was bringing results no body said anything about Sitholes professional conduct why are they talking about the conduct when the team is not doing well For his part GU secretary said their contract with Sithole expires in January, and they cannot stand on Sitholes way given that the football governing body FIFA says if a coach contract is left with three months he can sign with any other team.

He said as GU they do not doubt Sitholes capabilities, and they wish him well at his new team.

Mr Kagiso Sebele said Sithole is a good coach, and if he can find a team that can accommodate his professional conduct that same team can benefit a lot from him.

Efforts to talk to Sithole, about his new job were not successful as his mobile phone was off. BOPA
