FNBB donates to Love Botswana

MAUN - The First National Bank (FNBB) Fund has donated P920 000 to the Maun based Love Botswana Outreach Mission.

The donation will go towards the purchase of a car, construction of a daycare centre classroom and it will also be used to cover operational expenses for the organisations emergency home for the abandoned children.

Speaking during the handing over ceremony, FNBB foundation executive, Ms Oratile Moremong said the purpose of the FNBB foundation fund was to aid the less privileged as well as support the disadvantaged and handicapped members of the society in terms of the social welfare development in Botswana by identifying beneficiaries who are in need and deserving. For her part, one of the founders of Love Botswana Outreach mission, Mrs Jana Lackey said they have been experiencing financial constraints and they could not manage to start some projects.

Mrs Lackey said they will use a portion of the money to build Lorato House of Love which will serve the nation as a specialty unit for the infants, the toddlers and the disabled orphans.

She said there will be a foster care institution designed to house the infants who are in need of shelter care adding that the license process has been approved by the local government officials and forwarded to the Department of Social Services in Gaborone for review and approval. BOPA
