| BBA auditions for Motswana 22 May, 2007 | |
GABORONE - Former reality show winners, Kaone Kario and Tebby Gasennelwe, have urged Big Brother Africa (BBA) hopefuls to be calm and assertive to win over the production crews confidence. The BBA production crew will be in Botswana next week at some undisclosed venue to choose a Motswana who would take part in the competition. Both Kario and Gasennelwe had not only been exposed to the behind-the-scenes of what goes into the makings of a reality show but also win prestigious competitions. The two believe that the contestants have to be original. For you to unleash your potential you need to be yourself, being in your own skin gives so much comfort. They also believe that the contestants should not claim to know what they do not know and be open-minded. They said they should be observant and take in their surroundings. They said knowing the competition's strengths and weaknesses may be their break. All these sound simple enough but for one that has never been to a television audition the experience can be daunting but its worth remembering that relaxing and understanding that the whole process is about you. Whoever will be selected from Botswana will be part of 12 housemates from 12 countries. The reality show will be screened on Dstv channels, M-Net and Africa Magic, from August 5 to November 11, this year where the winner will walk away with P600 000. The show produced by Endemol South Africa will be screened round the clock on Dstv channel 37, available to Dstv subscribers. The show will be filmed in South Africa and will provide a platform for African creative talent, as African musicians, designers, artisans, crew and specially selected field presenters will all form part of the show.
